Last night, amidst getting a new version of Oldaer out, I was inspired by Will Carling. We’ve been Twitter buddies for a couple of months now. He records his opinions, and sticks the videos up on the web (mostly at Rucku).
At about 10pm the fearlessness came upon me. Doubt was nowhere to be seen. Pragmatism too was off on vacation.
It was half three at least before I fell asleep. And in that time I’d managed to:
Record the first Episode of The Rugby Man - Install, setup and configure The Rugby Man blog with WordPress
- Pre (here) and Post (here, and here) ping on Twitter
- and, Spend time in prayer to the Almighty that I wasn’t going down another goose chase
Every project I start is potential. There are lessons to learn, processes to follow, disciplines to enact. And there is hope.
I don’t start a project thinking it’s going to fail. I don’t begin with my mind on all the problems. On reality.
I begin with fearlessness.
Do you have moments with this kind of fearlessness?

There’s just no room for self-doubt when launching something new ya know?! You let doubt creep in and your sure to have a problem somewhere along the way. But believe you can do anything (and I’m not saying have confidence to the point that you’re arrogant or anything), and you’re more than likely to succeed.
It starts with the right mindset. And fearlessness is definitely a way to go! :-)
Ricardo,
Many thanks for your words!
The right mindset is exactly right. If you’ve got that in place, things go a wee bit better (although maybe not easier).
@Stu: Oh it’s never easy…but it sure makes those hard moments easier to deal with.
Agreed!
